Our Story
It begins with an idea
In 2015, co-founders Chris Bowen and Omar Shibli started EVO Hockey.
The vision was to allow young players greater freedom to express themselves, develop their creativity and passion for the game, educate and inspire them and connect them with some of the world's best international players and coaches.
From small beginnings, the EVO Hockey family has grown and we are now working with over 2,500 young players per year. We are truly grateful for your continued support.
The EVO Philosophy
EVO is not about one figurehead, or one concept of playing the game. Our hallmark is diversity: the celebration and exploration of different playing styles, opinions and ideas.
We encourage young players to express themselves on the ball. Our camps and academies have been developed with sport psychology input, and every aspect designed to support the development of technically excellent, skilful and creative young players, comfortable on the ball and with a passion for sport. Our events are designed for young players at all levels, from complete beginner through to high performance, ready to support them at their individual stage of development.
There is no single right way to play. The variety of approaches to hockey around the globe is amazing. Discovering and harnessing these, as coaches and players, is part of the beauty of the sport.
EVO represents evolution. We are forever learning, adapting and moving forward. EVO embraces this process. We give both players and coaches freedom to express themselves, learn from each other and develop. All while connecting youngsters in a meaningful way with those who are pushing the boundaries at the pinnacle of the game.
